Kate is an award-winning and SAFTA-nominated actor, writer, stand-up comedian and voice artist. She is a triple Standard Bank Ovation award-winner, receiving acclaim in 2018 for her debut theatrical one-woman show, Medusa Incarnate, which she wrote and performed.
Her work can be seen on Showmax in her SAFTA-nominated role as Taryn in Tali’s Baby Diary and Tali's Joburg Diary, Anika in Late Bloomer, on sketch and stand-up show Comedy Mixtape, in the Frizz Pop, Funny People Africa and Laugh at First Sight comedy specials and the Joburg International Comedy Festival's Late Night with Mojak Lehoko.
She is currently in the midst of a successful tour of her solo stand-up comedy show, Trash Mouth, with sold out shows in both Cape Town and Joburg. Trash Mouth, reviewed by Netwerk24 at the National Arts Festival 2022, was described as “smart, challenging and provocative…bullseye laughing potion.”
She continues to write on personal projects for stage and film under the banner of her production company, Medusa Media, co-founded with her writing partner Sean Mongie.
Highlights of voice work she has done include Jive’s Fizzy Pink Lemonade campaign and a 2022 campaign for Tracker.
