The name Black Soda is now worldwide. Soda, as she’s more commonly known is the alias created by Annely Ickua. Namibian by birth, and living in Cape Town, she is Director and co-founder of the
Collective Objective( est. 2011) cementing her creative career in the arts through the then community based musical collaboration event, Collective Sundays, which went on to be featured on
Mutha FM.
Since starting her career as a poet back in 2000, she has gone on to become a popular EDM vocalist, lyricist, event / cypher MC and entertainer. Annely performs poetry, collaborative music pieces and songs. She is also an actress with Limited Edition Actors Agency based in Cape Town.
