Dionne has worked as a musical theatre actress (including the role of Velma Kelly in "West Side Story) as well as had a long career as an entertainer on Crusie liners both as a dancer and a Cruise Director. As Cruise Director onboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises from 2005 - 2011 she was the host of the onboard daily TV program where she interviewed people of interest for their guests. She also hosted all the events onboard, including nightly shows, cocktail parties, game shows, trivia competitions etc. She was the voice over for the Welcome Onboard ships tour onboard.
Back in South Africa, most recently, she worked as a Business Development Manager for an international cruise line company where she trained agents and hosted presentations for clients. She also did all the presentations and voice over work as well as the telephone answering service for her company
