Alan’s career began writing and performing with the acclaimed A Capella cabaret group "Not the Midnight Mass" in 1988. The group won a Dalro Cabaret Revue Award, an Evening Post Award and a Vita nomination. Alan is best known for co-creating the children’s music series Beautiful Creatures with Ed Jordan, releasing 7 albums and achieving platinum and 4 gold albums in SA, 2 SAMA nominations as well as a Naledi award in 2010. Apart from his singing voice, he is also known for numerous TV and radio voice-overs, and for several years was a resident voice artist on KTV and Mnet.
